For the Chinese living abroad, it is a common task to go abroad and help others to piggyback. On the Internet, all kinds of information about "pay for goods" are also emerging.
Some people think that there is nothing in the original suitcase. If you can make some money while assisting others, and reduce your travel costs, why not do it?
Of course, the idea is good, It is not uncommon for people who have been arrested, sentenced, or even killed because they helped people bring things.
01 Three post-90s drug traffickers arrested for 8,000 rewards
Because of their good intention to help "friends" bring "wood carving souvenirs" from Brazil, the three Hong Kong generations have learned their lessons.
According to media reports, the three set off from Brazil and passed Thailand on the way. Before leaving, a friend known as "Sister Ming" asked them to help bring "wood carving" to a friend in Bangkok. She promised to give HK $ 8,000 per person as compensation.
Thinking of Hong Kong fellows who are also away from home, not to mention earning money to subsidize travel expenses, the three resolutely allowed pleading.
But the plane just landed, but it was the Thai police oncoming. Their luggage was searched on the spot by cocaine over 12 kilograms, worth more than 10 million yuan.
The unexpected changes made the three young people look dazed. After the parents arrived, it was shown that the child was defrauded and used, and it was impossible to transport drugs. Nevertheless, the Thai police still arrested them for smuggling and possession of drugs.
02 The $ 500 "pie" turns the consignee into a drug offender
In 2016, Shanghai Customs disclosed a wake-up case.
Two Chinese people were entrusted by their friends to bring two cases of red wine back to China. The customs immigration and border inspection staff found that the red wine contained drugs (liquid containing cocaine) on the spot!
After the interrogation of the suspect Wu Mou (female, 25 years old) said that the day before she returned to the country, their friend Lin Moumou entrusted two suitcases with "red wine" to carry them into the country. And paid a "labor service fee" of about $ 500.
Wu Mou showed that she didn't know that her friend had brought drugs to her. She wanted to make up for the cost of the trip by returning to the country to pay for the goods.
The two were arrested on the spot by the Pudong Airport Customs Anti-smuggling Branch and filed for enquiries. Because of the huge amount of drugs involved, she faced very serious rewards and penalties.
03 Bringing "clothing samples" but waiting for long bars
Earlier this year, Chinese girl Zhao Mou was tried in a Malaysian court for alleged smuggling of drugs.
Three years ago, she met a netizen who was doing a multinational apparel business. The netizen asked Zhao to help bring clothing samples from China to Malaysia. The netizen was responsible for Zhao Han ’s air tickets, room and board, and also indicated that she was paid Thousand dollars in compensation.
Zhao did so. But just after the plane landed in Kuala Lumpur, the customs found a mezzanine in the suitcase she mailed, and 3.3 kilograms of methamphetamine was concealed in the mezzanine. She was subsequently arrested.
The drug hidden in the luggage is not known to Zhao. But after she was arrested, the "friends" who let her carry things disappeared, and the consignee was nowhere to be seen.
After Zhao Han was arrested, she was originally asked to help her friend with clothes disappeared, and the person who received the goods had nowhere to go.
In Malaysia, drug offenses are serious crimes that can be sentenced to death.
04 Free "Outbound Tour" but handcuffed
If there is an opportunity for free outbound travel, no one wants to miss it. But if everything is too simple, you need to be vigilant and beware of bait.
Guangzhou Customs previously reported that in March 2017, the luggage sent by three young women around the age of 20 attracted the attention of the operators. After unpacking, each of them had two black computer bags in their luggage, both of which contained suspicious crystals.
It was determined that these items were methamphetamine, with a net weight of 10.03 kg.
Until the time of the incident, the three women did not know that there was drugs in their luggage. Originally, they were invited to play in Japan for free. These computer bags were distributed to them by Chen Mou, who was travelling with them, on the grounds that the luggage could not fit in, and they were ready to carry out.
And Chen said that these computer bags were entrusted to her by an African friend.
The legal part is not vegetarian. The anti-smuggling case handling personnel of Guangzhou Customs followed the situation and launched a wide range of investigations. After all, the case was cracked.
According to the police, drug trafficking groups continue to innovate their methods of transporting drugs. They use job seekers to be greedy for small profits, hoping to "get rich" quickly, pretending to hire people with short working hours and high remuneration as bait.
